VOSSCO Structural Bearing pads are made with a blend of virgin high quality synthetic rubber materials formulated for ozone and weather resistance. Chopped fibers are added to the rubber compound for reinforcement and added strength. VOSSCO, which is generically known as a linear Random Orinted Fiber Pads, can handle compressive loads up to 1500 psi. and non-uniform load conditions up to .050 radians. Vossco pads come in stock thicknesses ranging from 1/8” to 1” thick. The 1/8” thick material is commonly used as bedding pads under high load steel bearing masonry plates. The thicker pads have been used in some prestressed bridge applications and commercial structures such as stadiums and prestressed concrete parking decks.
